Chapter: 2300
Rena assured him, "Uncle Mark, let me handle this matter."

Mark had great faith in Rena's capabilities.

After their conversation, he said to Cecilia, "Rena will deal with it."

Cecilia ran her fingers through her hair.

She suddenly said, "Mark, whether you believe it or not, I no longer harbor any resentment towards Harold."

Back then, Cecilia had genuine affection for Harold. The reason she no longer held any grudge against him was that their love had never been deeply rooted. Throughout, it was Rena who had held Harold's true affections.

Therefore, when Harold passed away, the one truly in anguish was Rena.

Cecilia softly said, "Thank goodness Rena found happiness."

Mark couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he recalled Cecilia's past relationship with Harold.

He didn't want to dwell on that.

Cecilia suddenly laughed and playfully suggested, “I should mention Harold more often to make you jealous. But then again, I shouldn't.

He's gone. Rena would be upset if she heard me talk about him."

Mark suddenly had the impression that Cecilia was still his naive little girl.

On the other side, Rena ended the call.

She sat at the table, sipping her milk without paying much attention to the servant's inquiries.

It took her a while to snap out of her thoughts.

The phone on the table began to ring incessantly.

It was an unfamiliar number.

She opted not to answer the call, but shortly afterward, another call came through.

Frustrated, she turned off her phone.
