Chapter: 2509
As Vanessa stood and approached the dress, Laura couldn't help but notice Edwin's silence throughout the entire ordeal.
He had merely sat there, passively allowing Vanessa to assert her dominance.
With a light smile, she remarked, "This dress doesn't quite seem right for me. It's more suited for a dreamy young girl. Laura, it's almost as if you designed it imagining yourself as Mr. Evans' bride."
Not stopping there, Vanessa took the dress from the hanger and held it up against Laura, a clear act of humiliation.

Edwin's gaze lingered on Laura for a moment before he sternly addressed Vanessa, "Let's go!"
Vanessa, managing to hold her anger in check until they were outside, finally unleashed it.
"What was that, Edwin? You react like that just because I said something about her? How do you think I feel watching you flirt with her? Remember, I am your future wife."
Edwin, unfazed, lit a cigarette and took a slow drag, his eyes coldly fixed on Vanessa.
“You are nothing to me, Vanessa. We could have had a cooperative relationship if you had behaved. But bullying her just because we're partners? To think that I care about you that much is purely delusional."
He paused, his voice firm.
“It's over. There's not going to be any wedding.
