He handed it to her without hesitation.

Alexis grumbled under her breath as she ate.

Leonel looked at her with a soft, tender gaze.

He tidied up after their meal and put on his coat, signaling his intention to leave.

Alexis escorted him to the door.

She was about to object, but he was already assisting her into her coat.
