Chapter: 3998
She whispered in disbelief, "Mr. Waston, are you intent on ruining my boy?"

Albert's response was laced with sarcasm.

It dawned on him why Axell had spiraled out of control so swiftly; he was the product of parents who fostered detrimental values.

With a mocking tone, Albert retorted, "Had Axell succeeded in killing me, to whom should I have turned? My daughter is still undergoing psychological intervention because of what he did to her. Isn't it only right that he faces the consequences?”

Monica's shock swiftly morphed into anguish, her outcry laced with despair, "It's all Jessie's fault. Axell's downfall stems from his involvement with her. He was on track to becoming a distinguished doctor, not a felon. Is Jessie here? Let her face us! She owes Axell an apology, not the other way around. If anyone deserves to be imprisoned, it's her, not Axell. Bitch, come out!"

Albert was incensed by her words, imagining Jessie's distress upon hearing such accusations.

Immobile, he signaled a bodyguard with a blink, who promptly understood. As the bodyguard attempted to escort Axell's parents away, Monica clung on, her invectives escalating.

In a moment of tension, Albert's voice cut through the air, stern and unyielding, "Say another word, and I assure you, Axell will not greet the dawn tomorrow. Test me if you dare."

Monica froze, disbelief etched into her features.

Albert continued, his tone icy, "This is Duefron. Here, my reach knows no bounds. And wouldn't it be considered quite normal for a criminal like Axell to choose suicide over facing his crimes and serving time?"

Monica's resolve began to crumble, her lips quivering.

Her protests were weak, “You wouldn't dare."

Yet, deep down, she recognized Albert's capability.

Resorting to desperation, she fell to her knees once more, pleading for her son's life. Albert, bothered by the disturbance, signaled for her removal. The bodyguard, meanwhile, presented the couple with train tickets and a significant check.

"Mr. Waston has made it clear he wishes you cause neither him nor Miss Green any further distress," the bodyguard conveyed.

Albert's offer included the tickets and a ten million dollar check, effectively purchasing Axell's freedom, or at least, leniency, for the next decade.

With hands shaking, Monica tried to protest, but the bodyguard's words echoed a stark warning. “In your place, I'd take this chance. The severity of Axell's charges can be influenced by a single word from Mr. Waston."

Silence reclaimed the ward as they departed.

The bodyguard pushed the door in and said softly, "Mr. Waston, they left with the train tickets and the check."

Albert had a Bible in his hand.
