Chapter: 4148
Her wrists were free now, so she embraced Evelyn, her emotions swirling.
Leonel watched them from a distance in silence.
After some time, he remarked, "If Daniel didn't have to go to school, I would have brought him along too."
Alexis, filled with anxiety, asked, "What do you really want, Leonel?"
He looked at her intently but remained silent. Instead, he assisted them off the plane and into a vehicle.
Two hours later, Alexis realized they had reached Geveland.
The black limousine pulled up to a grand mansion.
A dozen people, including servants and bodyguards, greeted them at the entrance.
Alexis understood these individuals were handpicked by Leonel and were devoted to him alone.
She was without a phone or cash, and she knew no one in this place.
It seemed impossible for her and Evelyn to leave without alerting him.
Evelyn, unaware of the situation, believed her parents brought her here simply for medical treatment.
She noticed the yard lush with greenery and spotted something on the lawn. It was a dog lying idly. Excited, Evelyn ran towards it, calling out, "Ollie!"
She hadn't shown such happiness in a long time.
Alexis stood by the gate, watching Evelyn quietly. After some moments, she turned to Leonel. "Can you tell me your plan now?" she asked.
Leonel glanced at a servant who immediately understood and walked over to play with Evelyn.
Leonel watched Evelyn briefly, and then picked up Alexis and carried her into the villa.
The interior was impressively decorated. A spiral staircase led to the upper floors, and the walls were adorned with masterpieces from renowned artists.
Alexis struggled in Leonel's arms, but her efforts were futile.
Leonel ascended the stairs unhurriedly, traversed a long, ornate corridor, and entered a room at its end. He kicked the door open, revealing a spacious bedroom dominated by a king-sized bed large enough for four.
