Alexis' heart raced as she recalled the servant from the previous night.

Offering an excuse, she said, "I'm too tired. I'd prefer to have breakfast in bed."

Leonel smiled softly. "I thought if I sat across from you, you wouldn't have an appetite. I'm glad you're hungry."

With that, he rose and made his way to the bathroom.
