Chapter: 4295
Jeslyn showered her little brother with affection, visiting the hospital every day to see him.

Jessie's mother would prepare nutritious soup and accompany Jeslyn to the hospital, returning with her at night. This routine ensured Jeslyn could spend quality time with her new brother while also maintaining her daily routine.

Listening to their tales, Alexis couldn't help but feel the happiness that permeated their lives.

She didn't stay long, she merely exchanged pleasantries, left the gifts, and left. Recognizing Jessie's postpartum weakness, Albert accompanied her to the door.

When Albert returned to the ward after seeing Alexis off, he found Jessie sitting up, lost in contemplation.

Albert approached, gently pinching her cheek as he inquired, "What's on your mind, love? You seem lost in thought."

Jessie looked up at him.

Just then, Bernard's hunger made him cry, prompting Albert to scoop him up. Meanwhile, Jessie tenderly unbuttoned her top, cradling the baby in her arms to feed him.

Bernard was delighted with his meal.

Jessie glanced at Bernard, conversing with Albert. "When Alexis spoke with us earlier, it felt like she was bidding farewell before embarking on a distant journey. Otherwise, she wouldn't have rushed to visit me so soon after giving birth. Yet, when Melissa visited a few days ago, she assured me that Alexis and Leonel were doing well."

Albert observed the same.

He gently stroked Jessie's hair, sighing. “Their situation seems more complex than ours."

Jessie cradled her son, deep in thought.

After a pause, she turned to Albert and asked, "Do you believe they'll find their way back to each other?"

Albert allowed her to rest against him, tenderly brushing her cheek as he whispered, "I can't say for sure. But Jessie, I believe that in their lifetime, they will always hold a special place in each other's hearts, unforgotten.”

Albert sensed this bond went beyond their shared children, rooted in the affection they held for each other in their youth.

Jessie nestled in his arms, her thoughts left unspoken.

She understood the need for personal space for everyone.

It seemed to her that, for Alexis, finding peace alone, caring for her cherished maple trees, eagerly awaiting autumn, and observing the leaves changing color might bring about true happiness.

Alexis emerged from the hospital and reached the parking lot.
