Chapter: 4324
Leonel looked at his empty hand, smiling wryly. "It's all I've got left. You're harsh, Marcus."
Marcus rolled his eyes.
Placing the gift boxes on the sofa, he said, “Julie brought these for you from her hometown. They are supposed to help with the recovery."
Leonel picked up a box with a faint smile on his lips. “Really? Are you serious?"
Marcus didn't reply and just stared at Leonel. "I heard you two met at the airport yesterday?"
Leonel was shocked by Marcus’ words.
After a pause, he murmured, "Did Alexis spill the beans?"
Marcus lit a cigarette, taking a drag before replying, "No, your driver spilled it."
Leonel leaned back, cursing, "What a traitor!"
But Marcus knew he wasn't blaming the driver. “He means well, you know," Marcus said with a grin. "So, what's your plan now? Don't you wanna see Cordelia, huh? I saw her last night and held her in my arms; she is as cute as a button!"
Leonel's heart raced at Marcus' mention of Cordelia.
But he played it cool.
Gently touching the sofa arm, he hesitated before asking, "Your sister, she..."
Marcus glanced at him.
"Alexis? She's doing well, too. Although, she is still single! My parents are trying to set her up. She's open to it if they click."
Leonel's heart sank at the news.
Still, he acted indifferent. "Makes sense. Life's short. Better find someone sooner."
Marcus watched him closely, puffing his cigarette.
After finishing, he stood up. "You're right, stubborn idiot!"
He chuckled.
