Chapter: 4430
This made it possible for her to see everything clearly. "Well, that gentleman just left," she announced with a chuckle. "It seems he's not in a good mood."
After a brief pause, she asked curiously, "Is that young lady his new girlfriend or what?"
Olivia took a sip of her coffee to try to mask her anxiety.
Then she said in reply, “They used to be classmates. They've known each other for many years."
“Really?” Flora gasped, pretending to be surprised. “Then she must know that you two were once in a relationship, right? If she does, she needs to be told that it's unkind for her to steal someone else's boyfriend."
“Raphael and I broke up a long time ago," Olivia pointed out with a faint smile. "So he has the right to see anyone."
“Well," Flora shrugged smilingly, “it seems you inherited your mother's temper."
Her mind then went back to Mark and she couldn't help but sigh.
When he was young, every woman in Duefron had a crush on him, but in the end, he got married to Cecilia.
As far as Flora was concerned, Edwin acted like a true member of the Fowler family, while Olivia inherited all her merits from Mark and Cecilia.
Olivia was smart but simple. In fact, in Flora's eyes, Olivia was perfect.
"Are you missing my father again?" Olivia asked jokingly when she saw the expression on Flora's face.
"You naughty girl!" Flora scolded playfully, her face red with embarrassment.
Olivia chuckled, showing her cute, pearly teeth.
No wonder Raphael couldn't get Olivia out of his mind, Flora thought.
After seeing such an innocent and beautiful soul, how could he be attracted to any other woman?
Later, Olivia and Flora had lunch together. Then they chatted with each other until 4 p.m. At last, Flora bid farewell to her, albeit reluctantly.
When Olivia returned to the office, she handed in her notes from the interview. The chief editor, after reading it, expressed his satisfaction.
“Well done, Olivia!" he praised her happily. "With this interview, our magazine will be able to carry on for a while. Otherwise, I really don't know how I would be able to feed so many mouths. You know, there are some big companies that are willing to acquire our magazine, but I just don't want to sell it. After all, I have been running it for decades. This place has become like home to me, you know."
But Olivia didn't seem to care about all of that. After packing up her stuff, she began getting ready to leave.
