Chapter: 4433
Cordelia wrapped her arms around Leonel's neck, planting a sweet kiss on his cheek.
Her kiss was marked by a hint of saliva.
As her father, Leonel didn't mind in the slightest; he even indulged her with another kiss. Then, turning to Olivia, he announced, “Olivia, your favorite grilled fish is on the menu tonight."
Maintaining her grip on Alexis’ arm, Olivia replied sweetly, “Thanks, Leonel."
"Hold off on the thanks. I need to talk to Alexis about something,"
Leonel stated as he settled onto the opposite sofa, Cordelia snug in his arms. Olivia, quick to catch on, swiftly picked up Cordelia, suggesting, "Let's head to the kitchen and find something delicious together."
Cordelia still yearned to play with her father.
Pouting to express her defiance, she accused, “Aunt Olivia, bad."
Olivia planted a firm kiss on Cordelia's cheek, declaring, “I just adore you, you sweetest little thing!"
Swiftly whisking Cordelia away, Olivia soon found herself with two million dollars deposited into her account as a gesture from Leonel.
In that moment, Olivia's affection extended not only to Cordelia but also to Leonel.
With the hall emptied of others, Alexis asked in a hushed tone, "You usually only go pick up Daniel and Evelyn from school on Fridays."
Leonel stared at Alexis in silence.
Despite the winter chill outside, the atmosphere within the villa remained as cozy as a spring day. Alexis wore a silk shirt paired with sleek black trousers, her recently permed long black hair cascading in soft curls. She was a delightful sight to behold.
After observing her for a moment, Leonel spoke hoarsely, “There's a school event requiring both parents' attendance in Daniel's class. He requested my presence, so I've signed up. Alexis, check your schedule. It's this Saturday."
Alexis met Leonel's gaze.
After a pause, she finished her tea and set the cup down. "You've already decided. Why bother asking me?"
Leonel toyed with the cup.
“I simply don't want to let Daniel down."
Alexis offered a faint smile in agreement, their intimacy evident. As the servants entered the dining room to serve, occasional smiles passed between them.
