Chapter: 4462
“We'll go see a therapist together, as we discussed. You have all those sexy lingerie that you haven't showed me, and if possible, we might even have another child."

Silence filled the room.

Feeling a flush of embarrassment, Alexis lowered her head, whispering softly, "I'm willing to do all these things, Leonel, but I believe it's better if you express these sentiments in private."

Without a word, Leonel simply held Alexis in a gentle embrace.

Sunshine poured into the room, casting a warm glow as they clung to each other as survivors.

Waylen placed the thermos on the bedside table and waved to the others before leaving.

Rena wiped away her tears and trailed after Waylen.

With one hand in his pocket, Marcus led Olivia out of the room as well. It took a while for Alexis and Leonel to notice they were the only ones left in the warm ward.

Leonel leaned against the headboard, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly as he motioned for Alexis to come closer.

Alexis leaned in, wrapping her arm around his neck for a kiss, which felt slightly dry.

In return, Leonel embraced her, kissing her slowly. There was no rush; they had a lifetime ahead of them.

“You've been in a coma for three days, you know. So, you haven't brushed your teeth for that long," Alexis said, playfully winking at him.

Leonel kissed her once more, unable to tear his gaze away.

After a while, she spoke seriously. "Thank you for saving me twice, Leonel."

He gently stroked her face, replying, "You're welcome, Alexis. It's not a big deal. After all, I did this for my wife. Perhaps it's time we get that marriage certificate when we return to Duefron."

“Alright, let's get registered first and then throw a grand celebration later," Alexis agreed before leaning against him in silence. Though she might still be haunted by the past, she knew Leonel's rescue had left a greater impact. She'd never forget how he shielded her and held her hand during those crucial moments.

After their prolonged embrace, Leonel's voice broke the silence. "As much as I enjoy this, Alexis, I'm a bit hungry."

Alexis felt a pang of embarrassment as she realized he hadn't eaten in three days.

“Let me help you freshen up and get you some soup. The doctor recommended you stay a few more days in the hospital," she hurriedly offered.

"I'm not that fragile. If I'm feeling better tomorrow, we'll leave the hospital and head home," Leonel insisted as he struggled to rise.
