Chapter: 4506
After exchanging a few more words, Dylan ended the call and turned to Olivia. “I'll take you to the room first and get your things later."
Olivia gazed at him intently.
“What are you thinking about? There are two rooms. You can take the big one, and I'll take the small one," Dylan said, tapping the top of her head with his phone.
"Oh," Olivia responded, feeling her nose twitch.
After a moment of silence, he whispered, "Maybe we won't have to sleep apart soon."
Olivia was at a loss for words.
They reached the 22nd floor, and Dylan tapped the room key card against the door.
The room was spacious and inviting. Olivia sank into the sofa and immediately felt at home, unwilling to move. Dylan, accustomed to taking care of her, knelt down and gently removed her high heels, noticing her slightly reddened feet.
He massaged her feet and looked up. “Why don't you take a nap? I'll wake you up later this afternoon, and we can go out. The local community is hosting a festival, and it's quite vibrant."
Olivia, aware of his recent workload since moving his business back from overseas, murmured, “Won't that delay your work?"
As he continued massaging, Dylan playfully slapped her foot, eliciting a soft yelp from her as he hit a tender spot.
Their gazes met, charged with a new, unspoken tension.
Having been friends for years and sharing countless memories, like the times he'd carried her down the mountain, they had never before felt this kind of spark between them, leaving them both momentarily bewildered.
It was a good feeling, but it came so suddenly that Olivia wasn't accustomed to it.
Dylan was thoughtful towards Olivia. Having grown up abroad, perhaps he was more open-minded when it came to relationships. However, she was different; her essence hadn't been shaken by Raphael just yet.
Dylan decided to be patient and do this right.
He hesitantly touched her feet again and then let go.
Lifting her gently to the bed, he tucked her in with a blanket.
Looking into her eyes, he offered, “Should I get you a bathrobe to change into? You might sleep more comfortably in it."
Olivia wasn't used to such attention. She wrapped her arms around his neck, playing the seductress. “This is good enough."
