Chapter: 4508
He leaned forward, drawn to kiss her soft lips gently. She responded by wrapping her arms around his neck, still asleep.
Dylan paused, surprised, but then tenderly kissed her again.
Now that they were a couple, he felt no need to hold back. Their kiss was tender and heartfelt.
Yet, he remained sensible.
He was willing to wait until he was the only one in Olivia's heart.
In her sleep, Olivia dreamed of a four-year-old girl with pigtails, joyfully running around under the ancient tree of the college.
When she woke up, her dress was soaked through.
Sitting up, she took deep breaths.
Dylan, who had been working on his laptop on the sofa, noticed and approached her, asking, “Are you okay?"
Covered in sweat, Olivia looked up at him with a shaky voice. "I had a bad dream."
“What was it about?" he inquired softly, rubbing her back to soothe her.
Olivia tried to remember, but nothing came to mind. Dylan didn't press her with more questions and simply comforted her quietly for a while. He drew a bath for her and even brought her a glass of milk, saying, “Drink this, it'll help soothe your nerves."
After Olivia had finished her bath and emerged from the bathroom, a hotel waiter arrived with their dinner.
Dylan was at the door signing for it. When he turned to look at her, she appeared as if she had just been rescued from water, clad only in a bathrobe.
He said gently, "Put on some shoes."
Olivia glanced down at herself, quickly covered her chest, and dashed into the main bedroom. Dylan couldn't help but smile.
Once the waiter had left, Dylan wheeled the dining cart into the room and arranged the food. Then he called out to Olivia, “Come and eat, didn't you say you were hungry? I'll take you out for a walk after dinner."
The dishes on the table were all Olivia's favorites.
Changed into her clothes, Olivia joined him. As she enjoyed her favorite meals and listened to Dylan share stories about the local life, she felt truly at ease. She was with him by choice, and it felt right.
After dinner, he took her outside.
