Chapter: 4541
As November began, Olivia's time was due, but her labor was difficult.
After eight grueling hours, the doctors finally delivered the baby.
The sound of her baby crying brought a surge of intense relief and pain to Olivia. Exhausted, she lay gasping for breath, drenched in sweat.
Laura was by her side in the delivery room, holding Olivia's hand tightly and sobbing with joy.
"It's a baby girl! Oh, my God! She's so beautiful! Look at her little face, Olivia!"
Olivia turned to look at her newborn baby. A beautiful baby?
The little one was pink and slightly wrinkled, resembling a withered melon.
Noticing Olivia's potential disappointment, Laura quickly reassured her, "She'll look better in a few days."
With trembling hands, Olivia gently touched the baby girl's face and whispered, “Let's call her Leyla. Dylan picked the name himself when we found out it's a girl."
Leyla Wright.
Holding back her emotions and tears, Laura responded enthusiastically, “Sure. That's a lovely name! I like it very much. It's much better than any your brother could think of. Do you like it, Leyla?"
Meanwhile, Olivia tenderly held Leyla's tiny hand, hoping that her daughter would somehow bring Dylan back.
While Olivia was recovering from the child birth, Kiley had an accidental fall and was hospitalized with a mild fracture in a VIP room close to Olivia's.
Sharon frequently visited her in the hospital, using these visits to pressure Raphael into marrying her sooner. Kiley had exhausted every tactic to sway Raphael, but he proved more resistant than she anticipated, increasing Sharon's anxiety.
On their way to the CT room one day, Sharon pleaded with Kiley once more. Kiley patted her hand gently, reassuring her, "Don't worry, Sharon. I will find a way to convince Raphael."
Sharon was somewhat irritated, as this was not the first time Kiley had made such a promise but achieved nothing in the end.
Just then, her phone rang with an urgent call from the company. She glanced at Kiley and said apologetically, "I'll have the nurse take you to the CT room. There's an urgent issue at the company, and those assistants are so useless. I need to go back and handle it myself."
Hearing Sharon's urgency, Kiley looked at her with admiration. "Go ahead! Don't worry about me. It's just a mild fracture on my leg! Your work is more important than this."
Sharon nodded and hurried off.
After Sharon left, Kiley slowly limped toward the CT Room alone. As she made her way, she pondered Raphael's recent behavior.
Rumors had it that he often spent evenings out and rarely came home at night, which was straining his relationship with Sharon.
Lost in thought, Kiley was near the maternity wards when she nearly collided with a nurse holding a baby.
The nurse was on her way to take the baby girl for a swimming session.
Kiley glanced at the baby with a tinge of longing. Raphael was already in his thirties, steadfast in his refusal to marry, much less have a child. Yet, here was this adorable little one who bore a resemblance to Raphael.
