Chapter: 4547
In fact, he came to retrieve the results of the DNA test.
Unknown to anyone, he had managed to get a sample of the baby's hair which he used to run the paternity test.
When the doctor handed him the file, he had patted him on the shoulder and said flatly, "Think it over, dude. You're engaged to Sharon now. If this news gets out, it will do no good for both you and Olivia. Besides, Sharon will definitely create a scene."
When Raphael heard this, he immediately knew the result without even opening the file.
"Then help me keep the secret, pal," he said with a faint smile.
“Sure, I will," the doctor promised. "But since Olivia is a widow, and you now know that the child is yours, what next? Sometimes, I just can't understand you, buddy. Which one are you truly in love with, Olivia or Sharon?"
Raphael didn't answer, because he felt it didn't matter.
He never had a crush on Sharon, not even for a second.
When he left the doctor's office, he opened the file and took a look at the result. It showed that the baby was indeed his flesh and blood.
Standing right there in the empty corridor, Raphael stared at the result for a long time as he recalled the scene in the hotel room over and over again. Back then, he had forced Olivia to take the morning after pill. He had told her that it would cause a lot of trouble if she were to get pregnant.
Just a few minutes ago, the doctor had also told him that the medical records showed that Olivia once got pregnant years back but had a miscarriage later.
He realized it was after they broke up during their college days.
She was told her uterus was wounded and she could probably never get pregnant again.
However, he impregnated her for the second time when they met again years later.
Yet, at the end, he was the one who ruined his chances. He could still remember vividly how Olivia cried bitterly that morning.
He had pushed her away and given Dylan the chance to have her.
Now that Dylan was gone, her heart had gone with him.
To her, Raphael was just a stranger.
Raphael stood in the corridor, holding the report in his hand, his gaze fixed for what seemed like an eternity until his eyes grew weary.
Suddenly, a wave of nausea engulfed him, and he staggered against the wall, pressing a hand to his chest as he retched violently.
Recalling the past was incredibly painful for him.
People passing by looked at Raphael with curiosity. Based on his expression and the document he held, they guessed that his wife might have cheated on him and had another man's child.
However, Raphael appeared indifferent to the situation.
At that moment, only two thoughts occupied his mind.
