Chapter: 4645
Suddenly, Olivia remembered that he was Dylan's dog.
But it seemed that Dolly had already gotten used to this place.
And she had given Olivia her loyalty. The dog saw her as her master now.
Dolly licked her paws and raised her head, looking expectantly at Olivia, who reached out and gently touched the dog's head.
Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye.
It had been a quiet affair and nothing much special happened over the holidays.
Dylan hadn't come by since his last visit. As time went by, even Leyla seemed to have forgotten him and stopped asking about him.
Olivia was somehow relieved.
She had been considering moving somewhere closer to Edwin and Laura.
It would be good for Leyla if she had company.
After Christmas, Olivia signed a contract for her comic book. She didn't ask for royalties, opting for 20% of the profit instead.
Other than that, her magazine was just as it always was.
It wasn't a big firm, but she managed it well.
Soon after the contract signing, Olivia threw a party to celebrate with her employees. Her assistant was the one who had arranged everything, but Olivia felt exhausted after an entire day of various activities.
The party didn't finish until late at night.
Sitting in the back row, she frowned slightly and said to the driver in a tired voice, “Send me back, please."
She thought she would sober up by the time she arrived home.
Olivia was thinking that she could read a bedtime story to Leyla if the little girl hadn't gone to bed yet. The thought of her daughter brought a smile to her lips.
In the driver's seat, Dylan gripped the steering wheel.
His hands tightened even more as soon as Olivia got in the car.
He caught a glimpse of her face from the rearview mirror. It had been so long since he had seen her so relaxed. Since he came back, Olivia had treated him with either indifference or hostility.
His longing for her had carved a hollow in his insides.
Without saying a word, Dylan glanced at her, and then stepped on the gas.
However, he was not heading to where she lived. Before long, the car pulled over. When Olivia was about to get off, she found that she was not at home.
