Chapter: 4657
The revelation jolted Olivia from her reverie.
Her eyes, still misty from the pleasure of their closeness, paused on his thin cheek which she touched gently. With a hesitant voice, she asked, “Are you going to see her?"
Aware that any mention of another woman could lead to immediate consequences, Dylan kissed her lightly on the shoulder and reassured her in a whisper, "No, I'm visiting my parents."
Olivia remained silent.
After a moment of hesitation, Dylan asked softly, “Would you like to take Leyla with us?"
Olivia turned away, her gaze falling on the diamond ring glittering between her fingers, her emotions tangled. Everything was moving too quickly.
How would she explain their intermittent relationship to Dylan's parents? And she hadn't yet forgiven him. Despite wanting to delay their visit, she didn't want to let him down at that moment. She wrapped her arms around his neck and murmured, “Maybe next time, okay? Let's wait for warmer weather."
Dylan looked into her eyes intensely.
After a pause, he held himself steady with one hand while holding her neck with the other and passionately kissing her.
Beneath the sheets, his movements grew more and more intense.
As the snow outside piled higher, Dylan prepared to fly overseas.
He asked Olivia to bring Leyla to the airport for his departure, half-expecting her to refuse. To his surprise, she agreed and brought Leyla along.
Leyla was bundled up in a stylish overcoat, soft leather boots, a soft knitted hat, and a thick scarf, her eyes peeking out like two sparkling gems.
When they arrived, Dylan scooped up Leyla, who joyfully hugged him and affectionately called him "Uncle Dylan."
After a heartfelt reunion, Dylan looked over at Olivia and lowered his voice. "I really want to hear her call me daddy again."
Olivia offered a faint smile.
Dylan, instead of pressuring her, gently took a small box from his pocket and revealed a delicate gold locket adorned with diamonds, which he placed around Leyla's neck.
Delighted by the shiny gift, Leyla affectionately kissed Dylan on the face.
As Dylan lifted Leyla into the spacious black limo, she nestled into his lap, reluctant to leave. Knowing about Dylan's impending departure made Leyla visibly sad for a long time.
Olivia, seated across from them, stared out the car window, lost in thought.
Dylan, noticing her distant gaze, inquired, “What are you thinking about?"
Turning to face him, Olivia's voice was soft but heavy with concern.
“I'm wondering when you will come back."
Dylan remained silent, his heart touched by her words.
