Chapter: 4673
It felt like poison to Elissa.
After their wild intercourse, Raphael covered her with a blanket and then headed for a shower.
Returning, he found no trace of Elissa. The bed's chaos told the tale of their fervor with a bloodstain an indication that it had been her first time.
The pillow was damp from Elissa's tears.
Raphael stared silently, and then donned his robe to search for her.
The servant informed, “Miss Palmer left not long ago."
Raphael, cigarette in hand, queried, “Did anyone see her off?"
The servant hurriedly replied, “Maxton returned from the grocery store and then she asked him for a lift."
Raphael nodded and went up the stairs without saying anything else.
Raphael then instructed, "Change the bedding in my room."
The servant had heard the commotion while Raphael and Elissa were in the bedroom.
Raphael's intensity had made Elissa cry for ages. The servant figured she might be upset because he had been too rough.
Upstairs, she grabbed a set of fresh bedding and was shocked by the bloodstains she saw.
How could Mr. Jones be so rough with Miss Palmer on her first time?
She thought.
When the servant changed the bed sheets, Raphael lounged in the living room, mulling over Elissa and their alcohol-fueled sex.
He wanted to convince himself he was over Olivia and he could now be with another woman.
But Elissa's tears had exposed him.
Naturally, she'd be upset.
Yet, Raphael realized it wasn't healthy for his wife to be so obsessed with him when he couldn't reciprocate.
It was unfair to Elissa.
After pondering, he had his assistant fetch a pricey jewelry set and send to Elissa.
This was a gesture of apology.
But she refused it.
