Chapter: 4706
Their baby was still alive!
“How have you been?" he asked softly after they had stared at each other for a while. "Did the pregnancy stress you very much?"
His voice sounded choked as he struggled to hold back his tears. He had been suffering for a long time, and now, he had finally seen a glimmer of hope. It made him feel much better. Olivia had not aborted the child after all nor did she seem to be in pain.
In fact, she was very calm.
Olivia always knew that she couldn't keep the pregnancy from him forever. Despite the fact that she moved back to Czanch, he still tracked her down here.
She wanted to speak, but Leyla had hugged her leg and was now looking up at her.
Knowing how much she liked Dylan, Olivia couldn't help but feel sad.
Nevertheless, she gently patted her head and said persuasively, "Allow me have a few words with Dylan, dear. Meanwhile, you need to go back inside so you can have dinner, okay?"
Leyla immediately felt dejected.
When Dylan noticed this, he grabbed the toys he had brought and squatted down in front of her. “Honey, I need to talk to your mom alone. Go inside and enjoy your meal, okay?" he said, bribing her with the toys.
Leyla obeyed, partly because she wanted the toys.
“Say thank you to him," Olivia urged her.
Leyla thanked him cheerfully and skipped off in joy with her new toys.
As she entered the house, she quickly rushed to her grandmother to show her the toys. Before now, Cecilia had heard Dylan's voice, and it had given her mixed feelings.
Just then, Mark appeared on the stairs.
The moment he saw the toys in Leyla's hand, he knew exactly what was going on. So he sat on the sofa and called Leyla, "Come, let me have a look at those ugly toys."
"They're not ugly. They're beautiful," Leyla protested.
Mark turned to glance at Cecilia.
But Cecilia was just as helpless as he was. All she could say was, “Let Olivia handle it. Don't go out please."
She was worried that Mark would get angry if he went outside and confront Dylan.
"I don't want to see him anyway," Mark replied with a snort.
But despite his words, he was still very worried about Olivia. He didn't eat much dinner just because he wanted to eavesdrop on the conversation between Olivia and Dylan.
Meanwhile, Olivia was still in the yard staring at Dylan.
"With or without the baby, we can never be together again," she said to him straightforwardly. “We're... I don't want to repeat those hurtful words. But you need to accept the fact that we are done and there is no possibility of us getting back together."
