Chapter: 4708
When Mark saw Olivia coming back inside the house, he immediately put down his fork and asked her, “Has he left?"
"I don't know." Olivia shrugged. "But I don't think he will try and enter."
Mark couldn't help but sigh.
"Stop thinking about those unhappy things, my dear," Cecilia said comfortingly as she served Olivia a bowl of chicken soup. "Just make sure to keep yourself happy during your pregnancy so that the baby will turn out to be beautiful and healthy, just like our dear Leyla."
Leyla was eating when she heard them mention her name.
In response, she said in a soft voice, “Uncle Dylan is unhappy and unhealthy."
Mark couldn't help burst into laughter when he heard this.
But he quickly recovered himself and bribed her with a chicken drumstick.
Meanwhile, Dylan was still outside and had not yet left.
He couldn't take the gifts back with him, so he went straight to the kitchen and put them down there. When he finally drove out of the estate, the guard who had witnessed everything that happened gave him a sympathetic look.
After he had left the place, Dylan placed a call to his secretary.
"I'll be working from Czanch from now on," he said to her. “Send all important documents to me in person from now onwards. I'll be staying at a hotel and I will text you the details later. I want you to deliver every important item by yourself."
The secretary was shocked to hear this.
But Dylan continued after a brief pause, "Olivia is pregnant. I want to take care of her at least until she gives birth."
After Dylan made his request, his secretary was taken aback.
Olivia was pregnant?
The secretary didn't dare to question or comment. She knew her role was to follow her boss' instructions. Dylan then asked her to purchase some books for new parents and send them directly to him.
His secretary, Maria, couldn't help but say, "Mr. Wright, I'm certain Miss Evans has already purchased those parenting books herself. Plus, this isn't her first pregnancy. She's definitely quite experienced."
On the other end of the call, Dylan paused before responding, "Not for her, they're for me."
In fact, he was also experienced when it came to prenatal care. He had read extensively on the subject during Olivia's pregnancy with Leyla, yet he felt it was time for a refresher.
Maria nodded in understanding. “Alright! I'll be in Czanch by eight tonight and will meet you there."
After ending the call, Dylan leaned back in his leather chair.
He rested his head on his arms, reflecting on the last time he saw Olivia.
He had been so worried that he hadn't taken a good look at her. Four months into her pregnancy, Olivia hadn't gained much weight, her figure remained slender aside from her visible baby bump. Dylan wondered whether she was getting enough nutrients, now that she was eating for two.
