Chapter: 4885
Waylen was a distinguished, handsome man with an elegant demeanor, and the woman beside him, Rena, was beautiful and noble.

Comparing herself to them made Holley feel inferior.

She couldn't help but think of her farmer parents back in her hometown, their hands rough with calluses.

Unable to resist, Holley found her gaze drawn to Luis. She pondered whether he would stand by her through thick and thin. Would he be embarrassed by her modest upbringing? Would he deem her unworthy?

Her insecurities were evident in her expression.

Elva, while not overly prideful, felt no need to cater to Luis' and Holley's emotions. After all, they were indeed having an affair before he broke up with Elva, and Luis had chosen Holley of his own accord.

Kyler, the Finch family's second son, then inquired of Elva, “Do you know Luis well?"

With their parents present, Elva couldn't be reckless and openly admit their past relationship. Holding a cup of coffee, she feigned ignorance and vaguely replied, "Well, we have some business dealings."

Luis was irritated. What business dealings could they possibly have?

Holley couldn't stand it any longer.

She tugged on Luis’ arm and quietly mentioned, “Our appointment time has arrived."

Aware of Holley's discomfort in such settings, Luis showed consideration and reassured her, “It's fine to be a bit late. The Mendez family is the VIP client here at the salon."

Holley whispered, "Do you need to spend like millions a month to be a VIP?"

Luis chuckled and replied, “That might be a bit of an exaggeration. Something around two or three million will do."

As Luis bid farewell to the Fowler and Finch couples, he purposely glanced at Elva. She ignored him, focusing on her coffee. Kyler promptly added a sugar cube to her cup.

A shadow crossed Luis' eyes.

Waylen remarked, “Luis, you seem to have a strong bond with your girlfriend. Are you planning to introduce her to your parents soon? I'm curious when the wedding will be."

Luis smiled and said, "We'll see what fate has in store."

Holley looked pleased.

After they left, Holley couldn't stop praising Waylen, saying, "Mr. Fowler is so nice! He's not like his daughter at all."
