Chapter: 1555
Did he know that they had almost been separated forever?
A surge of longing took over her. She wanted nothing more than to hear his voice and feel his arms around her.
She missed him, so much that his absence was carving a hollow in her chest.
Soon enough, the nurse finished treating her. Rosalynn walked out of the room and took out her phone.
The screen lit up, making her heartbeat pick up its pace. It worked!
The glass had been broken in some parts, and she had worried that it wouldn't turn on. Thankfully, it seemed to still be able to function.
She ignored hundreds of missed calls and called Brian straight.
The phone rang for a long time before the call finally connected.
Rosalynn's eyes welled up with tears.
"Brian, I-"
"Rosalynn, Brian has already divorced you. Why are you still calling him?"
Rosalynn felt as if a bucket of ice had been poured on her.
It was Deanna, not Brian, who answered the phone.
Did she hear that right?
Brian had divorced her?
When?
Why didn't she know?
Rosalynn took a moment to organize the chaos of her thoughts.
"That's impossible. I haven't received any notice."
"Have you forgotten who Brian is? He's not someone who would need to notify you if he wanted to divorce you," Deanna scoffed.
