Chapter: 1687
Hutton was the best person she knew for gathering intel, yet even he came up with nothing.
Whoever was erasing Maggie's traces knew their field well. It was too clean a job for an amateur.
The only question was, who?
Why would they do it?
Suddenly, Rosalynn was reminded of Karl.
Her eyes widened. Then she hurriedly said, "Hutton, ask Karl if he had erased Maggie's trail."
Karl, just like Hutton, was a top-level hacker. If Maggie had really gone off on her own, only Karl could help her hide her traces.
"Okay, wait a minute."
She heard the sound of typing over the phone.
Soon, Hutton said, "Yeah, it was him."
Rosalynn was right on the mark!
But there were still so many unanswered questions. Her brows furrowed as she said, “Ask him why. And where on earth is Maggie?"
A few minutes later, Hutton replied, “Karl said he didn't know anything and just did what Maggie asked. Apparently, she asked him to help hide her whereabouts. He also told us not to ask anything more.
Maggie passed a message along. She asked him to tell you not to worry. She'll come back when she becomes a better woman, a great woman just Like you."
Rosalynn's thoughts were a mess. She fell silent, her mind unable to come up with a response.
She only had questions. Why did Maggie leave all of a sudden?
And why did she want to break up with Sanford?
Her mind went back to the time when Janiya objected to Maggie and Sanford's relationship. At that time, Maggie had said how she wished she could be as good as Rosalynn.
The memory jolted Rosalynn out of her daze, a realization dawning upon her.
Did Maggie's disappearance have something to do with Janiya?
