Chapter: 1782
Rosalynn lingered. After Selina was dressed again by the servant, Rosalynn applied the needles to her skin.

In time, Selina stirred back to consciousness.

Her eyes cleared at the sight of Rosalynn.

“Rosalynn?"

She strove to quell the malice and envy that threatened to surface, yet it proved challenging.

“You are awake."

Rosalynn, gazing upon her pallid features, inquired with an icy tone, "Was it you who orchestrated the theft of my jade pendant?"

Selina, attempting to sit up, had her attention seized at the question.

"I am at a loss regarding your accusation."

Rosalynn was aware she wouldn't confess, so she didn't anticipate any revelations from her.

She slipped the needles into her pocket, rose, and gazed down at her.

"Selina, the truth will always come out."

Playing with fire only led to getting burned.

It was fruitless to argue with Selina.

As Rosalynn departed, Selina's hands balled into fists, her gaze seething with loathing.

What the hell was that attitude?

Why was she still alive?

The door swung open, and Gail entered.

Quickly shedding her malevolent expression, Selina feigned despair, squeezing out a few tears, and called out Gail softly.

Gail approached the bed, exhaling a heavy sigh.
