Chapter: 212
He opened the door on his side and got out to face Carson.
“What happened?" Carson was already aware that Brian had bailed Rosalynn out. Needless to say, he was a little uneasy about this development.
That woman was just a designer. Why would Brian come to the police station himself and settle the matter on her behalf?
“Are you the one who hired the thugs?" Brian had a looming figure and a domineering aura, and he didn't like to mince his words.
Carson instinctively ducked his head and quickly tried to clear his name.
"Those men aren't thugs. They're just regular laborers looking for work. They were hired to work at the construction site."
Without warning, Brian landed a solid kick on Carson's abdomen.
"How dare you lie to my face? You used inferior materials and used Hughes Group's money to fill your own pocket. You think I don't know?"
Carson fell to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood.
He covered his chest with his arm in pain.
"You've got it all wrong! | didn't pocket any money. | only did it to save Hughes Group's money!"
Brian sneered and shook his head. He took out his phone and made a call.
“Aldrich, it's me."
"Brian, is there something | can help you with?"
"Your cousin, Carson Moran, is in charge of the construction team of Hughes Group, right?"
Brian asked.
"Yes. Why, what's wrong?"
"| want to fire the whole construction team. Do you have any objections?"
“Well, | shall defer to your decisions, of course. But I'd like to ask, has my cousin done something wrong?"
"You can ask him yourself."
Brian hung up and glanced down at Carson, who was trying to sit up, one of his arms still pressed against his chest.
"For Aldrich's sake, | won't call the police on you. But you'll have to take the responsibility.”
