Chapter: 214
Irritated, Carson snapped, “Fuck off! Leave me alone! You'd better find a way to change Brian's mind, or you'll all lose your jobs!"
As Carson stormed off, Wesley and the other workers exchanged bewildered glances.
“Wesley, what should we do now? | have a family to support.”
“Wesley, my wife needs surgery next month. | have to earn money for her treatment.”
“Carson can't help us. Wesley, let's go plead with Brian."
Frowning, Wesley said, "It's not easy to see him. Even if we manage to meet him, he might not listen to us."
"Then what should we do? Are we really getting fired?”
"Wesley, please think of a solution!"
The workers grew increasingly anxious.
Wesley, feeling the pressure, suddenly had an idea.
"| know someone who might be able to help us."
"Who?"
"My niece works as an assistant for the famous star, Eleanor. I've heard that Brian has a soft spot for Eleanor. | can approach my niece and ask her to request Eleanor's help. Maybe it'll work.”
Wesley's eyes sparkled, convinced his plan was solid.
If Eleanor agreed to put in a good word for them, there might be a chance.
“That's great! What are you waiting for? Go to your niece.”
“Alright, I'll call her now."
Inside the car, Rosalynn gazed at Brian.
“Do you truly intend to fire Hughes Group's construction team?"
She had overheard the conversation between him and Carson just moments ago.
“Wasn't that your suggestion?" Brian inquired.
“Your cousin, Aldrich, oversees the construction. If you dismiss his team, won't he harbor resentment toward you?" Rosalynn asked worriedly.
