"Take your time," he said gently.

Brian guided Rosalynn to the couch and held her close as he sat beside her.

After listening, Brian's expression hardened. "So, because Valeria misunderstood Hutton's relationship with his alumna, it led to her miscarriage? That's unfortunate. If only they didn't jump to conclusions about each other and act recklessly out of anger."

Rosalynn sighed. "They didn't communicate and settle their misunderstandings as they arose, so they piled up and burst forth, causing irreparable damage to them both."
