Chapter: 24
Under the beautiful sky, he saw Rosalynn’s charming face. She wore a high ponytail, happily playing games with the children.
As the faint breeze blew, she seemed like an adorable fairy, who had entered the mortal world by mistake.
“Mr. Hughes? Is something wrong?”
Seeing Brian stand still for a while now, the director was confused.
Hearing the director's voice, Brian came to his senses and said, "Nothing. | just didn't expect that there would be volunteers here today."
"You mean Rosalynn and Karina? They used to live here when they were little. So, they would often come back to visit and play with the children. Those two are very kind. Many of the new facilities here are provided by them."
The director sighed with delight as he looked at Rosalynn and Karina.
On the other hand, Brian raised his eyebrows and was intrigued. "Those two were orphans?”
"Yes, But later on, they were both adopted by different families," the director replied.
At this time, Rosalynn and Karina finally noticed Brian talking with the director.
"Speak of the devil! Now, why don't you say hello to him? Show your charm and bewitch him!” Karina whispered in Rosalynn's ear with pure excitement.
Rosalynn could just scoff silently and stare at her in disbelief.
She then gestured for the kids to continue playing, and walked over toward Brian.
"Mr. Hughes, what a coincidence to see you here.”
Her cheeks were a bit rosy from playing for quite some time, and her eyes shone brightly.
She looked young and energetic.
Brian looked at her and said, "I also didn't expect to see you here. | didn't know that you're fond of kids."
“Well, you know what they say. The children are the future of the country.”
Rosalynn smiled in delight as she looked at the kids.
Brian's eyes narrowed a bit. He had seen too many pretentious women before, but Rosalynn was nothing like them. She was special.
While they were chatting, a sudden scream was heard not far away from them.
“Rosalynn, watch out!"
Hearing this, Rosalynn subconsciously looked around and saw a football flying toward her.
Startled, she wasn't able to react at once.
But before she was hit by the ball, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her into a warm embrace.
