Chapter: 257
If he bestowed identical jewelry upon both women, did that imply he held not just Eleanor but also Rosalynn in equal affection?
Maggie blinked, ceasing her gossip upon noticing Rosalynn's sour mood.
Returning to her desk, she perused rental information on her computer.
She could no Longer renew Lloyd's lease.
It was time to find a new place to call home.
Upon hearing Maggie's sigh, Rosalynn asked, “How are things with your boyfriend?"
“Everything's been normal lately. I haven't noticed anything amiss. But I don't want to live with him anymore, so I'm searching for a place and plan to move out on my own."
Even if it was a mere misunderstanding, Maggie couldn't cohabitate with Lloyd any Longer.
Yana's reappearance cast a shadow over her, plunging her into uncertainty once more.
She doubted there was anyone with the fortitude to resist Yana's temptations.
“Are you planning to move? Maggie, why not move in with me?" Rosalynn suggested after some thought.
Maggie gasped, her eyes sparkling at the prospect of living in Rosalynn's spacious, Luxurious abode.
However, she quickly shook her head and replied, “Rosalynn, your place is so lovely I couldn't possibly afford the rent."
"Did I mention renting my apartment to you? It is quite large, and living alone can be Lonely. You can stay with me," Rosalynn said with a warm smile.
"Really? Rosalynn, I can tell you're suggesting this out of sympathy for my situation." Maggie was intuitive and understood Rosalynn's motives.
“No," Rosalynn denied. Seeing as Maggie still wanted to argue, she smiled and added, “If you genuinely consider me a friend, please accept my offer."
It was true that Rosalynn empathized with Maggie's struggles. Working alone in a big city had its fair share of difficulties.
Most importantly, Maggie had been cheated on by an awful man, which made Rosalynn relate to her situation.
“Thank you, Rosalynn. I promise to be a good roommate,” Maggie said, deeply moved and holding back tears.
Rosalynn chuckled and said, "You can move in with me today."
“Sounds great."
As the two continued to chat and laugh, Keegan approached with a drawing in hand.
