“No? Weren't you two on a date earlier? Haven't you spent the entire day with him?" Brian questioned her, struggling to contain his anger.

Rosalynn sighed and resumed tending to his wound.

“He said it to piss you off. I've told you before that I don't want to be in a relationship for now.”

Really?

Brian's eyes lit up as the heaviness in his heart slowly dissipated.

However, when he recalled Barlow's claim that they had cooked together, his anger flared once more.

“Then why have you been with him all day? Did you visit his house?"

Rosalynn finished tending to Brian's injury. Thoughts of her grandfather's house crossed her mind, and she just nodded.

She didn't want Brian to discover that she had been to her grandfather's place.

If he continued to probe, he might uncover her true identity.

That would lead to a lot of problems.

Listening to Rosalynn, Brian tightened his lips.

It could be simple for Barlow to pursue her since they lived in the same apartment complex.

Even if she claimed not to want love, would she resist falling for Barlow when he persisted?

“Remember to keep your wound dry for a couple of days."

Rosalynn stood up after saying this.

Suddenly, Brian grabbed her hand, pulling her into his embrace.

“Rosalynn, is it truly not because of him that you're rejecting me?"

His cool breath reached her face.

He enveloped her in his strong arms, his eyes fixed on her.
