Chapter: 451
“Rosalynn, why that Look? There's nothing going on between Brian and me. No, absolutely not! We're both into women! If you don't believe me, ask Maggie!"
His reputation was on the line. He had to clear his name.
“I'll leave him in your capable hands. I'm beat. Heading back." With that, Sanford beat a hasty retreat.
“Hey, at least help him to his bedroom first!" Rosalynn called out to Sanford.
“I dare not Linger. Rosalynn, please tend to Brian. Let him demonstrate his preference for women!"
Rosalynn was left speechless.
What was he implying? She was utterly confused.
The room descended into silence.
Rosalynn turned her attention to Brian, sprawled inebriated on the couch. Setting aside the ingredients, she bent over and gently patted his face.
“Hey, wake up. The bed would be far more comfortable."
Brian's eyes fluttered open, their soft gaze captivating under the gentle illumination.
Brian was undeniably aloof and haughty when he was sober.
However, under the influence of alcohol, his icy demeanor thawed, revealing a softer side.
This unexpected shift touched a chord in Rosalynn's heart.
Seeing his sleep-laden eyes gaze at her, she decided to lend a hand.
“Let me help you to your room to sleep, okay?"
Brian remained silent, his eyes fixed on her face.
There was a depth of feeling in his eyes that resembled a man deeply in love.
Rosalynn's heart pounded.
Swiftly averting her eyes, she hoisted his arm onto her shoulders and assisted him to his feet.
Brian leaned heavily against her, a silent acknowledgment of her offer.
“You are so heavy!" Rosalynn complained, pushing open the door to the bedroom and guiding him to the bed.
