Chapter: 607
Karina's lips curled in dissatisfaction.

"No way. I don't want to be involved with a man like him. He is too cunning."

Barlow was not someone Karina wished to befriend.

“You're right," Rosalynn commented, a hint of hesitation in her voice.

She wanted her best friend to move on from Virgil, but she couldn't shake the feeling that Barlow wasn't the right match for Karina.

If only Barlow were an ordinary man!

After they finished washing up, Karina's phone rang. It was her mother, Denisse Glyn.

She hurriedly answered, saying, "Hey, Mom."

“Karina, did you have a fight with your brother? Why didn't you come home last night?" Denisse inquired.

Do You Like Barlow

Karina glanced at Rosalynn and fabricated a lie.

"No, I've just been busy with work. I didn't want to disturb you and Dad by coming home late, so I'm staying over at Rosalynn's."

“Well, your brother will be taking Annalise home for dinner tonight.

Make sure to come back early," Denisse casually mentioned.

"I understand," Karina responded, ending the call. She stared at her phone and let out a sigh.

Rosalynn approached and embraced her, offering comfort.

Karina managed a bitter smile.

"Rosalynn, I'm not trying to ease my guilt. I'm just worried that my brother will end up hurt again."

Rosalynn's positive opinion of Virgil had undeniably waned.

"No matter how sad he may be, he deserves it," she declared.

It was his fault that he couldn't see Annalise's true colors.

“Rosalynn, please don't say that," Karina pleaded, feeling a sense of protectiveness for her brother.
