Rosalynn took a deep, frustrated breath.

“Stop it, Brian. Our relationship is already tainted. We may try our hardest to make it work, and maybe it would be fine in the beginning, but with all our differences, we would break up sooner or later. It's better to nip it in the bud while it's still early."

“That is your opinion, and I do not agree with it. I intend to share the rest of my days with you, whether we spend them arguing or cuddled up in bed. I want the good memories and the bad. I want you." Brian looked straight at her as he said this.

His voice was calm and pleasant, as if he was simply presenting a mundane idea. Even so, Rosalynn felt herself getting bewitched by those damn eyes.
