Chapter: 932
“Edwin, I need to see Valeria. Is that possible?" Rosalynn asked.

“I'LL see what I can pull off. Trust me on this.”

After Edwin found a familiar policeman and had a small talk with him, the policeman took Rosalynn to a room and she saw Valeria.

Inside the room, Valeria sat on a shiny steel chair, a picture of fear and anxiety.

“Valeria.” Rosalynn called out to her.

Startled, Valeria sprang up, the chair screeching in metallic protest.

“Rosalynn, please, you've got to help me. I'm innocent. I swear, I didn't murder anyone!"

“Calm down, Valeria. I believe you. Now, take a deep breath. Then tell me exactly how everything went down. From the start."

Valeria swallowed hard, took a shaky breath, and began her story.

“My agent told me John was making a new movie and thought I'd be perfect for the lead. He asked me to meet him at the club tonight to discuss the script.

I don't particularly like him, but I agreed. When I entered the private room, it was set up for a candlelit dinner. John invited me for a drink.

Knowing his reputation, I made an excuse about being on my period and declined. He didn't press on, but after drinking a few glasses, he started making untoward comments and even tried to touch me.

I was gritting my teeth, biding my time, when John suddenly clutched his chest and..."

Thinking of the scene at that time, Valeria trembled slightly.

Anyone who witnessed such an event would undoubtedly feel traumatized.

Her account was chilling, and Rosalynn listened, offering a comforting hand on Valeria's trembling shoulder.

"So, you're saying John just dropped dead? And Eleanor? How did you end up pushing her?"

"I...I tried to run, to get help," Valeria stammered through tears.

“But I ran into Eleanor.

When she saw John, she accused me of killing him. She grabbed me and wouldn't let me Leave. I tried to break free.

I didn't mean to hurt her. I didn't push hard, but she stumbled back and hit the door. Then, she cried, saying she had a stomachache."

Rosalynn listened, her mind working to connect the dots.
