Chapter: 95
Halfway through her meal, Brian suddenly appeared by her side.
"Rosalynn! Why weren't you answering my calls?"
Brian eyed Rosalyn with obvious displeasure.
Rosalynn looked up from her plate, a hint of tenderness passing over her eyes as they landed on his familiar face. But it vanished in the next second.
“Sorry, this place is too noisy. | didn't hear my phone ring.”
She was apologizing to him instead of lashing out?
Brian's eyes narrowed with suspicion.
Rosalynn was wearing a white knit sweater over a pink, floral dress.
Her long hair was tied into a single braid that hung over her shoulder.
Her eyes looked warmer and less hostile.
“Would you like some?" Rosalynn offered as she took another bite of her food.
Brian blinked out of his reverie and looked around. The tables and chairs looked sticky and unsanitary, and people were staring at him. He scowled.
"No, thanks. Hurry up and finish your meal."
"Why? What's wrong?”
"| don't want to stand around and be ogled by a bunch of strangers."
Rosalynn scoffed in disbelief.
‘She knew the man too well. He probably thought the place was filthy!
What a picky snob!
After taking the last bite of the food she was eating, Rosalynn picked up her things and they proceeded to go shopping.
Outside, the street was still bustling with people.
With his hands in his pockets, Brian walked slowly, noticing that the passers-by would look at him from time to time.
He couldn't help but purse his lips, feeling that there was something wrong with him.
Somehow, he regretted that he didn't just stay in the hotel.
Then, he looked at Rosalynn, who was walking beside him.
He asked with furrowed brows, “Why are you even shopping in this place? There are so many people. You'll just going to waste your time.”
