Chapter: 174
If only Raegan knew that Mitchel couldn't stand hearing Lauren's words either. He had been itching to press the "end call" button.
But he suppressed the urge to do so because he wanted to see how Raegan would react.
According to Luis, jealousy was good because it meant one cared about the other. If Raegan cared about him, why wasn't she jealous of Lauren?
On the other end of the line, Lauren had no idea that she was on speakerphone. She continued to act coquettishly, and her words became even bolder. Raegan couldn't bear listening to Lauren anymore. She was afraid that Lauren would say something more explicit, so she coughed slightly.
Lauren suddenly screamed, "Mitchel, are you with someone?"
Mitchel glanced at Raegan and smiled with satisfaction. He knew that Raegan had deliberately made a noise. Did it mean she still cared about him?
"Yes. I'm with Raegan."
“What? Why?" Lauren's face turned pale in shock. She didn't expect that Mitchel and Raegan were together now. Fortunately, she didn't spill anything.
But she still felt uneasy.
“Why are you together?" she asked nervously.
“We're on our way to go through the divorce. It was Raegan who answered.
Mitchel was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect Raegan to say those words. In an instant, the warmth in his eyes disappeared.
Sure enough, Lauren was overjoyed.
"Is that true, Mitchel? 0h, finally! Somehow, I'm free from pain now. I'm so happy!"
“Catch you later."
Mitchel hurriedly hung up the phone before Lauren could say anything more. He then turned to Raegan, looked at her coldly, and asked, "Did I ask you to say so?"
Confused, Raegan retorted with a frown, “Isn't it what you want?"
She was too embarrassed to say she'd had enough. So, she just said that to make Lauren shut up.
Mitchel's face was taut and cold as he kept his eyes on the road.
Raegan's heart sank. She felt he hated her even more now.
