Chapter: 72
Mitchel looked at Raegan intently for a while. Then he asked with a frown, “Are you serious? Do you know what time it is now?"

She didn't answer.

"Do you really think I am a heartless person? How can I leave you alone on the road at this time of night? What is going on with you?

Do you still use your brain? Do you even know what's safe and what's not? Where is your sense of safety? If I leave you here and something happens to you, who will take responsibility for it?"

Mitchel inexplicably became so irritated that he bombarded Raegan with a series of questions. He was like an old mother nagging her daughter.

Every word he said was like a sharp knife that pierced Raegan's heart.

Was she wrong? She was already sensible enough to allow him to see his sweetheart immediately. What else did he want her to do?

Sadness and grievance filled her heart. She felt like she was about to explode.

"As I've said, I can manage. I am no longer a child. I know how to take a taxi and go home by myself. I don't need you to be responsible for me."

If only she could jump out of the car. She didn't want to stay with him even for a minute now, let alone go with him to the hospital.

She was not a masochist who wanted to be bullied.

However, Mitchel didn't take her words seriously. Instead of stopping the car, he drove in the direction opposite to her apartment.

"Stop the car. I said I want to get out," Raegan repeated firmly.

Mitchel frowned even more.

"Stop it. Just give me some time to check on Lauren, and then I'll take you home."

Raegan had no choice but to threaten Mitchel.

"If you don't stop the car, I'll jump out."

Raegan then held the handle and was about to open the door. It was only then that Mitchel stepped hard on the brakes and pulled over.

“Raegan, you're going too far!" Mitchel grabbed her hands hard and forced her to look at him. His handsome face was shrouded by a terrible gloom, and his voice was full of anger.

“What the hell do you want to do?"
