Raegan kept nodding. She said between sobs, “I promise, I won't go back on my word. Stop talking now."

Raegan's tears kept streaming down uncontrollably. She couldn't stop crying.

She wanted him to talk because she was afraid he would lose consciousness. But she was also worried that he would use up his strength if he kept talking.
