Chapter: 1157
The only sound in the room was their labored gasps.

After a prolonged rest, Tyrone slowly regained some energy. He stretched out his leg and kicked Larry, who lay on the floor. "Don't play dead. What's going on?"

Larry bent his knees, lying on the floor and gazing at the ceiling.

“Didn't you already figure it out?”

"I want to hear it from you. Then I'LL tell you myself. I was the one who told Galilea to get close to you and pursue you. It was me who instructed her to steal the core data of the project. And it was me who sent those kidnappers out of the country. Are you satisfied?"

Tyrone demanded.

Tyrone growled, “Why?”

"Why?" Larry repeated it in a low voice. "Because you're nothing but an illegitimate bastard. Yet, my grandpa always favored you and even wanted to hand the company over to you. And you have the nerve to ask me why? I am the rightful successor of the Blakely family!"

"So, you've never considered me a brother, only as an adversary contending for the Blakely Group and supposedly responsible for your parents' demise!" Tyrone looked down at Larry.

Larry sneered and gave Tyrone a cold, hard look. "Isn't that the truth?"

Larry always exuded a sense of gentleness and elegance, no matter where he was.

Tyrone never thought he'd witness such a cold, despiteful look on Larry's face again.

The last time Tyrone saw that look in Larry's eyes was back in primary school when Larry threw Tyrone's schoolbag into the river. As Tyrone tried to retrieve it with a stick, Larry pushed Tyrone into the river and threatened him not to tell their grandfather after he climbed back out.

When Tyrone returned home, he concocted a story about accidentally falling into the river, which explained why his clothes were drenched.

However, their grandfather eventually learned the truth. Tyrone wasn't privy to what their grandfather said to Larry, but Larry came to him with an apology.

Since that incident, the tension between them has eased, and they have grown closer, resembling more of a family.

At least, that was what Tyrone had believed about their relationship. Now, it appeared that it was merely a facade.

Larry had changed his approach. He concealed the resentment that was once on the surface, burying it deep within his heart. He had successfully deceived both their grandfather and Tyrone.

"I see. Let me make one thing clear. I never considered competing with you for the CEO position at the Blakely Group. Grandpa made that decision."

Larry regarded Tyrone with a sarcastic gaze. "I find it hard to believe you never knew I aspired to that position! Even if you were oblivious before, you're well aware now. Yet, you still accepted the position!
