Chapter: 1577
"I don't know. Everyone has their own choice."
"Can I go with you?" Marnie looked at Sergio expectantly. "I know Miss Chavez, and she knows my cousin. I don't think she will come back for our wedding, so I want to see her off."
Sergio had agreed to marry Marnie. He took her to the hotel, tried on the wedding dresses, picked up the ring, and took wedding photos.
ALL in all, Sergio had done everything he ought to do, except for one thing - take Marnie to see his parents. Whenever Marnie attempted to get the marriage certificate, Sergio would change the topic.
When Marnie hinted at getting the marriage certificate, Sergio told her after the wedding, he would transfer a house to her name.
Marnie was happy about it, but Sergio's true meaning wasn't lost on her. She knew he would not get the marriage certificate with her.
The wedding was just a show for the public, preventing them from labeling the child as one out of wedlock. After the child was born, Sergio could kick her away at any time.
But Marnie had done so much to be connected with the wealthy Blakely family. How could she settle for a house and thousands of dollars?
No matter what, Marnie would find a way to persistently milk money from the Blakely family forever. That explained her visit back to her own home. She had to have a grasp of the situation and make the most of it.
When Sergio heard Marnie's request, he stared at her without saying anything.
He had studied her for a while.
Marnie stared back, feigning composed on the outside while she flustered. She couldn't help but feel Sergio could see through her with his penetrating gaze.
However, there were times he stared at her in such a manner but complied with her requests.
"Do you really want to go?" Sergio asked.
Marnie hesitated for a while and nodded her head. "Yes."
"Fine. Go with me."
So Sergio brought Marnie to Wanda's house.
By the time they reached, Leroy and Claire hadn't arrived yet.
Sabrina was surprised to see Marnie since she hadn't expected Marnie to come. Curiously, Sabrina studied Marnie's frame and saw that she was thin and not yet showing any signs of being pregnant.
Sabrina smiled at Marnie warmly and greeted, "I didn't expect to see you here. Have a seat."
