Chapter: 1704
"No. I don't know." Richard shook his head.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My surname is Hall, and my late husband's surname is George. You may refer to me as Mrs. George or Miss Hall, whichever you prefer."
Surprised and delighted, Richard greeted, “Nice to meet you, Mrs. George."
Mrs. George. used to be a regular customer at the bar. Richard had heard of her from one of the seniors there.
Mrs. George was known for her generosity and had the power to make anyone she favored wealthy. In fact, there was a senior who had managed to accumulate a lot of money after being kept by Mrs. George.
Later, the senior quit his job at the bar and opened his own shop.
Moreover, Mrs. George had refined tastes and was protective of her belongings. If she took a liking to someone, she would keep them as a companion and expect them to cater to her needs. During this period, their only purpose was to serve her.
Richard was a little excited. Mrs. George had gone to great lengths to bring him here. Could it be that Mrs. George wanted to keep him as her companion?
"Young man, why haven't you asked me why I kidnapped and brought you here?" Mrs. George lifted her head and gave Richard a once-over, a hint of charm in her gaze.
Mrs. George used to be a regular at the bar. However, she hadn't been there for some time because Jason had been out of the doghouse.
Mrs. George didn't know Richard because he was new at the bar.
Richard shrugged. “You want something from me, Mrs. George."
Mrs. George's eyes flared in surprise. He was astute, already knowing her intentions. But didn't he have a girlfriend? Why didn't he reject her? He seemed willing to be kept by her.
"In that case, let me get straight to the point. I think you are a good boy and I want to keep you as my companion. What do you say?"
Mrs. George remarked.
Richard nodded his head at once. "I'm flattered."
Again, Mrs. George was left floored. "What? Are you sure?"
"Of course." Richard flashed a smile.
For a minute, Mrs. George wondered if her men had brought the wrong person. She pulled out the photo and scrutinized it, comparing the man in the photo to the one standing before her. Of course, her men hadn't made a mistake.
“This is the contract. Have a look." Mrs. George retrieved the contract she had already prepared in advance from her stack of documents and placed it on the table in front of Richard.
