Chapter: 1740
“No need. I've got plans with a friend. You go ahead," Kira replied.

Back then, Kira had come to meet friends, coincidentally crossing paths with a pregnant Sabrina and snapping those photos.

Tyrone didn't question her and said, "Alright. Take care. I'll take my leave."

Tyrone stood up and left.

Watching him go, Kira's gaze turned somber. She poured herself a wine, feeling its warmth soothe her. This was her solace. Horace had left her behind, and her relationship with her son was strained. Had she known this earlier, she never would have left Mathias and Tyrone, regardless of the trouble it might have caused the Fowler family.

Kira found herself reaching for a second glass of wine, finding only a semblance of calm by the third.

Leaning back in her chair, Kira sipped thoughtfully, soon followed by a fourth. It was clear she was waiting for someone.

Keilani, noticing Kira's solitary figure, turned to Alice.

"What do you think I should do? Should I go say hello?" she asked. After a moment of contemplation, Alice advised, "Sure, go ahead. Just be courteous and keep it brief."

“I got it," Keilani replied, wine glass in hand, and made her way toward Kira.

Kira, catching a glimpse of Keilani, couldn't help but smirk. She had anticipated Keilani's presence here tonight and thus had arranged to meet Tyrone here. She had a hunch Keilani would approach her, and she was right.

"Hello, madam. May I join you?" Keilani asked with a smile, gesturing to the seat across from Kira.

“Absolutely, Kira responded, nodding.

Alice watched them from a short distance. Her plan was for Keilani to just say hello to Kira and make a good impression. She feared the longer Keilani stayed, the more likely she was to screw up.

But more than ten minutes passed, and Keilani hadn't returned. She was sitting opposite Kira, and they were chatting cheerfully.

After a few minutes, Keilani finally came back, still holding her glass of wine.

Alice inquired, “Why did it take so long? And who is she? What exactly did you two talk about?"

Caught off guard, Keilani paused for a moment, seeming pleased.

“Keilani?" Alice prompted again.

Snapping back to the reality, Keilani explained, “She's Tyrone's mother. We didn't really discuss anything specific. Just some casual chitchat."
