Chapter: 1759
On Wednesday, a sense of unease washed over Sabrina. From the previous Tuesday to Thursday, she had been busy shooting ads. The schedule said they'd wrap up by Saturday, but delays from the models pushed everything back.
Sabrina's next task was to modify the map. As a former clothing brand manager, she knew well that the clothes’ ad photos didn't require extensive editing. They were just for giving shoppers a sense of how the outfits looked.
Since the models had great figures and looked good in anything, over-editing could create unrealistic expectations. So, Sabrina made some simple adjustments to the photos and sent them off to the director.
However, the director asserted the photos needed adjustments and urged Sabrina to make thoughtful modifications. Although the director couldn't pinpoint what was off, he just wasn't satisfied with Sabrina's work.
At first, Sabrina didn't think much of it. Some clients just didn't know what they wanted. She then went through the brand's photo archive, adjusting each photo to match the established style.
Still, the director wasn't pleased and demanded that she do it again.
That was when Sabrina sensed something was amiss. After digging a bit deeper, she discovered that the fashion brand was part of the Wilson family's portfolio.
Instantly, Sabrina connected the dots to Keilani.
Sabrina realized she couldn't keep wasting time on them. But quitting at this time meant paying a hefty penalty. How could she allow herself to be played tricks like this?
The autumn season was approaching, and instead of preparing for the launch of their new clothing line, they were wasting her time here.
Concerned, Sabrina asked Bella's help to look into the issue.
After the investigation, it became clear to Sabrina that the original photographer, chosen by the brand, hadn't ended the contract yet and was continuing to capture photos according to the original scheme.
Now, the project was on the verge of completion and about to be launched.
It hit Sabrina suddenly. The brand had always intended to use the other photographer's work. The contract with her was just a cruel joke. This was Keilani's way of getting back at her.
Without a second thought, Sabrina took legal action, suing to end her contract with the brand and seeking damages. She handed the case over to her lawyer.
Sabrina cursed. This was a frustrating delay. She quickly checked the flight ticket.
Right then, a message from Bettie popped up. "Sabrina! Are you still involved with Tyrone?"
Sabrina felt puzzled. Not only had she been involved with Tyrone, but they had also reconciled. She was planning to return home soon.
Sabrina had planned to tell Bettie about her incoming return after buying the air ticket, but Bettie texted her unexpectedly.
“What's wrong?" Sabrina asked.
