Chapter: 1777
"What were you looking at just now?" Alice walked alongside Keilani and remarked, "You seemed lost in thought.”
Keilani lowered her head, a tinge of jealousy and resentment in her eyes. She clenched her teeth and muttered, “Sabrina's back. I just saw Tyrone picking her up!"
For a moment, Alice was stunned. She then offered a reassuring smile and said, “Let her enjoy her happiness for a while. When the truth comes out, Tyrone will surely break up with her."
Keilani's patience was wearing thin, but Kira had warned her against acting rashly, as preparations weren't complete.
"Wow, that's a Maserati! Keilani, your uncle really spoils you!"
Alice marveled.
Keilani smiled and said nothing. Despite their strained relationship, her uncle treated her well.
Inside the car, Alice gazed at the cityscape and sighed. “So, this is Mathias. It's quite different from what I had imagined."
Alice had emigrated to Philadelphia with her parents when she was just a child. Her hometown was situated in the northern region.
Though she had returned to her homeland several times as an adult, she had never ventured into Mathias. Her curiosity about this place was palpable.
Keilani smiled in response. “Mathias is an amazing city. Tomorrow, I'll take you on a tour, and we'll pick up my brother in the afternoon."
“Sounds good," Alice replied, her eyes lighting up at the mention of Lance.
Two days ago, Keilani had called Alice and informed her about Lance's return to Mathias. There was a possibility that Lance might stay in the city for quite a while, and Keilani had asked if Alice would join her.
Alice had thought about it for a while. After discussing it with her parents, she decided to board a plane to Mathias.
However, a shadow crossed Alice's face as she dwelled on something.
Lance had arrived in Mathias just one day after Sabrina's return.
Could it be that he was pursuing her? Did he have feelings for Sabrina?
“Alice, is something bothering you? Aren't you happy that my brother is coming?" Keilani inquired.
Alice snapped out of her thoughts and managed a wry smile. With that, she confided in Keilani about her concerns. "I can't help but worry that I shouldn't have come here. When he sees me in Mathias, he might think I'm following him, and it could make him loathe me even more..."
“Don't be so hard on yourself," Keilani reassured Alice. “Remember, you're the future daughter-in-law of the Wilson family. As for Sabrina... I won't let her be with my brother!"
