Chapter: 1783
Witnessing the unfolding drama from the car's safety, Alice felt the time to intervene. She picked up a shard of broken glass from the dashboard and ran it along her hand, cutting herself.
Alice then stepped out of the car and feined an attempt to drive Sabrina and Bettie away. “Leave her alone. Stop beating her."
Sensing the need to end the altercation, Sabrina stood up, clapping her hands in a finality gesture. Brandishing a safety hammer, Sabrina sternly warned Keilani, “If you dare try anything stupid again in the future, you will receive punishment much worse than being slapped!"
With that, Sabrina and Bettie confidently walked away.
As they entered an elevator, Bettie turned to Sabrina, her brow furrowed with curiosity. "Do you know the woman in the car? She looked familiar to me.
“Yes, her name is Alice. She's the woman hugging Lance in the second photo I sent you. I didn't expect that she would also come back. It seems that she is quite familiar with Keilani."
The first photo was taken by chance when Sabrina was on location, but she didn't capture Alice's face.
Bettie's expression shifted, a moment of realization crossing her features. "That's why Keilani's name is so familiar. I remember Lance making a call in front of me. He called the other person on the line Keilani."
"Was that the time you told me Lance had a girlfriend?"
"Yes, I asked him if she was his girlfriend. He didn't deny it."
“Oh! Lance is a playboy. He dated two women who are friends,"
Sabrina remarked, sighing.
Bettie was speechless.
Alice hurried over to Keilani, asking, “Are you alright?" Alice assisted Keilani to her feet and untied the rope binding her wrists.
"Sabrina! You two are bitches! You'll pay the price for this!"
Keilani's shout resonated with pure hatred, her eyes aflame with anger.
With her cheeks red and swollen and her hair in disarray, Keilani was a disheveled mess.
Spotting an onlooker still lingering and capturing photographs, Keilani shot him a fierce glare. “What are you taking pictures of?
I'll chop your hands off!"
The onlooker stared at Keilani, wide-eyed and speechless. When he first heard the commotion and saw the scene of Keilani being beaten, his first thoughts were that she was the victim, and he felt sorry for her. He recorded the incident as potential evidence for her if she needed it. However, his plan took a swift turn after a scolding from Keilani.
