Chapter: 1861
Sabrina glanced at her watch and said, "You two should head home now. Bettie is on her way back."
"Why do we have to leave before she comes back?" Tyrone asked.
"Exactly!" Jennie echoed.
"If she sees you here, I will be questioned by her,” Sabrina replied.
Jennie pouted. "Doesn't she like me?"
Sabrina clarified, "She doesn't like your father."
Bettie was reasonable. Though she liked Jennie, she never forgot Jennie was the child of Keilani and Tyrone.
“Tyrone, maybe you should go home alone." Jennie didn't want to leave.
She really missed the days when she stayed over and slept with Sabrina.
Tyrone picked Jennie up and grunted, “No. You will bother Sabrina if you stay. We have to leave together."
"Oh, come on!" Jennie had no choice but to rest her chin on Tyrone's shoulder and wave at Sabrina. "Bye, Sabrina."
"Bye."
A few minutes after Tyrone and Jennie left, Bettie walked in with her suitcase.
Sabrina was supposed to pick Bettie up from the airport, but now that she was pregnant, she erred on the side of caution and avoided driving. She had hired a driver. This time, she sent her driver to pick Bettie up.
"You're back." Sabrina smiled.
"Yeah," Bettie answered absentmindedly as she walked directly to her room, dragging her suitcase behind her.
Sabrina's brows furrowed, sensing Bettie was acting a little odd.
Usually, when Bettie returned from a business trip, she would push her suitcase aside, collapse on the sofa, and start to state what bugged her amid her trip. This time, however, Bettie simply walked directly to her room without much to say.
Sabrina stood up and walked to Bettie's room. She knocked gently on the door and asked, “Bettie? Are you okay?"
“Fine." Bettie's reply echoed inside her room, her voice faint.
