Chapter: 2117
Zandra's face flushed further as she absorbed Lance's words. Had she been too selfish? Had she focused only on her daughter, neglecting her son's emotions?
Lance seized the moment and added, "Mom, you know very well that you, your husband, and I are to blame for how Keilani turned out. Your health isn't great, my dad's always tied up with work, and you two haven't guided Keilani well, letting her grow into this arrogant individual. She bullies others because she thinks she's untouchable. At first, you dismissed it as nothing serious. When she got into bigger trouble and broke the law, you tried to smooth things over with money instead of letting her face the consequences. Step by step, she's become this person who thinks she can do whatever she wants!"
Lance paused before continuing, "By letting her continue her reckless actions, you're only harming her. She dodged a bullet this time, but what if next time she crosses someone she can't handle? Mom, I know you love Keilani. She's my sister, and I care about her. Nobody wants to see her in current state. Even if you want to hold me accountable for her current state, shouldn't we focus on healing her first? Something's off mentally with her. She needs to see a psychiatrist immediately."
Zandra, shaken by Lance's words, nodded slightly. "I've thought about taking her to a psychiatrist, but she refuses."
"Mom, many patients refuse to admit they're sick. How can you let her decide? You're being gentle because you feel sorry for her, but it's actually harming her. She had tried to slit her wrist, suggesting her mental illness. If you don't intervene in time, what if she starts self-harming? What if she slits her wrist again?"
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Zandra sighed and nodded.
“You're right. I should have her see a psychiatrist right away."
Zandra reasoned that she had unwittingly let her concerns for Keilani's condition cloud her judgment and Lance surely cared for Keilani.
“I know a good psychiatrist. Do you need a recommendation?" Lance suggested.
"No, not right now. Let's see how the one I found handles it first."
"Alright. Keilani shouldn't be going out right now. Why don't you have the psychiatrist come to her ward? Just tell Keilani it's a friend visiting and let them chat," Lance voiced his suggestion.
“Okay, I'll try it out.”
"Since Keilani doesn't want to see me, I'll stay away for now,"
Lance announced.
Meanwhile, Keilani waited in her ward, a sly smile creeping onto her face as she imagined Zandra scolding Lance. But that wasn't enough.
She wanted Lance kicked out of the Wilson family.
Keilani pondered for a moment and then deliberately knocked a cup off the table. Picking up a shard of glass, she pretended to cut her hand.
Hearing the crash, the servant outside rushed in. Seeing Keilani with the glass, the servant quickly grabbed it from her. “Miss Wilson, please don't..."
“Give it back to me!" Keilani demanded, feigning desperation.
"Nol"
Just then, Zandra finished her talk with Lance. She hurried inside Keilani's ward, alarmed. "What's going on?"
