Chapter: 1046
Seeing Breck emerge from the bathroom, she offered him a sandwich and milk, saying, "Want to chat while you listen? Or would you like to talk first?"
Well, they were both grown-ups, and they had to confront the situation head-on because they had done it.
But actually she didn't want to face it.
"I'm not hungry," Breck replied, looking at the sandwich.
Aurora gave him a quick look and remarked, "It already happened.
Skipping breakfast won't change anything."
He had no words to respond.
She was absolutely right.
He took a sip of milk and said, “Why don't you share your thoughts first?"
Aurora hesitated, then bravely said, "Well... Even though we had a bit to drink, we both agreed to do it, right?"
Discussing such a topic was awkward, her cheeks flushing as she added, "Can we just... pretend like it never happened?"
Her words were barely audible.
Surprisingly, Breck had been thinking the same. Yet, hearing her say it out loud stung a bit.
After another sip of milk and a pause, he said, "This situation mostly affects you. If you need anything, or if there's any way I can make it up to you, just Let me know."
How could Aurora have the nerve to make any request? Last night, she was the one who started it.
"No, let's just move on."
At this point, she suddenly thought of a question.
“Actually, there is one thing..."
Seeing her sudden shift, he arched an eyebrow, curious about her request.
"Go ahead, tell me," Breck urged, his eyes fixed on Aurora.
"Can you promise it stays between us?"
His eyebrows arched in slight surprise.
"Of course. It's our secret."
"I'm glad to hear that. I need to head to work now."
