Chapter: 1084
Even as a youngster, he harbored dreams about his future wife.

She should radiate grace, beauty, and poise.

That was the wife his mother had envisioned for him, until Claudia entered the picture.

When Claudia came into his life, for the first time, he had a crystal-clear image of his life partner.

She needed to be adorable, compassionate, radiant, shy yet valiant.

But the ultimate criterion? She had to be Claudia.

Hours might have gone by, yet the memory from when Claudia resolutely dragged him out of the car to sneak into the cemetery by climbing over the wall, remained vivid. The astonishment from that moment lingered.

The night air was chilly. Yet in her dress, Claudia leaped off the wall without a second thought.

She acted without overthinking. Her sole intent? To cheer him up.

Just like many years ago, with flowers in hand and an umbrella overhead, she led him through the rain to the gravesite. She assured him, “Whenever you miss your mom, come visit. There's no need to hide it from the world!"

It was a windy day and the rain was heavy. She didn't care about it at all. She wiped the rain off her face and said to him with a smile, "The rain's pouring down. No one would notice even if you shed a tear. Isn't that wonderful?"

As soon as she finished her words, she stood there, her legs trembling with cold. She didn't urge him, though.

What a little fool.

That very fool today said it was her first visit to see his mother and she didn't bring anything.

But she had forgotten that eight years ago, she brought flowers for the same visit.

The little fool was good at everything, but she had a bad memory.

But that was okay.

ALL that mattered was that he remembered.

When Claudia opened her eyes the next morning, the sunlight was almost blinding.

Instinctively shielding her eyes, she squinted and reached for her phone.

As she checked the time, her remaining drowsiness instantly vanished.

It was already half past eight!

She didn't wake up until half past eight!

This was not the most terrible thing for her. The most terrible thing was that she couldn't recall how she dozed off the night before.
