A blush crept on her cheeks as she sipped her beverage.

She found the restaurant quite charming. She should suggest it for a meal with Aurora.

Thinking of Aurora, Claudia realized that she had been quite occupied lately. Whenever she tried to chat with Aurora, their conversations remained brief and shallow.

She grabbed her phone, captured a photo of her food, and texted Aurora, "Loving the food here! We need to try it out together."

Almost instantly, Aurora replied, "Showing off another one of your outings, huh?"

Cheeks reddening, Claudia responded with a cheeky emoji.

Typically, Aurora would keep the chat going, but this time, Claudia received no further messages from her.

In recent times, Aurora had seemed rather distant. Claudia figured her friend was just tied up, so she didn't give it much thought.

Actually, Aurora hadn't been very busy lately. She hadn't been talking to Claudia much because she had been feeling guilty.

Some days ago, due to excessive drinking, she and Breck accidentally made love. However, on Friday, they did it again.

This time, it was even more absurd because neither of them had been drinking.

Upon returning to her apartment after a dinner party last night, Aurora found Breck waiting by her front door. Without a word, she allowed him in.
